Description	1-O-Octadecyl-2-O-benzyl-rac-glycerol is a diacylglycerol that contains octadecyl alcohol at the sn-1 and benzyl alcohol at the sn-3 position. 1-O-Octadecyl-2-O-benzyl-rac-glycerol is used in the synthesis of alkylphospholipids containing modifications of the phosphocholine moiety with antitumor activities. The hydroxyl group enables further derivatization or replacement with other reactive functional groups.
