Synonyms: AC-PEG-NH2; Acrylate-PEG-Amine
AC-PEG-NH2 is a linear heterodifunctional PEG derivative with an acrylate and an amine at both ends of its molecular chain. It is a useful cross-linker with a PEG spacer group. Acrylate can polymerize with ultraviolet or free radical initiators, while amines can react with carboxylic acids or NHS esters. Acrylate - PEG-amine can be used to introduce amine functional groups into PEG hydrogels. The product is usually provided in the form of TFA or HCl salts. It is also used in cell culture, drug research, drug delivery and release, nanotechnology and new materials. In addition, AC-PEG-NH2 can be attached to different molecules or materials to extend the richness of different molecular combinations.
