Plys-PEG-Plys is a biodegradable polymer organic compound conjugated by polyethylene glycol and polylysine. Both ends of the PEG molecular chain are connected with polylysine chain segments. Polylysine is an FDA approved natural homopolymer, which has been demonstrated to possess a wide spectrum antimicrobial activity with lesser toxicity to the human system. Plys is rich in cations and has good membrane. Based on this property, Plys can be used as the carrier of some drugs, so it is widely used in medical and pharmaceutical applications. Various reactive groups in Plys-PEG derivatives can cross-link with different molecules.
