Synonyms: Cholesterol-polyethylene glycol-FITC
Cholesterol-PEG-FITC is a heterofunctional polyethylene glycol with cholesterol and FTIC at both ends of the molecular chain. It has amphiphilic properties. FITC can be used for drug tracking. It has important application value in the study of drug mechanism tracking. Cholesterol can regulate the fluidity of phospholipid bilayer and reduce membrane permeability and drug leakage. It also has a protective effect on the oxidation of phospholipids. Cholesterol-PEG-FITC can be used for the manufacture of liposomes to shorten the cycle time of encapsulated drugs, as well as for non-viral transfection reagents.
