Methoxypolyethylene glycol-glutaric amide succinate (mPEG-GAS) is a modifier with methoxy group at one end and glutaric acid derivative at the other end. It's a white solid or viscous liquid whose morphology depends on its molecular weight. The smaller the molecular weight, the more likely it is to be a solid. It is soluble in most organic solvents and easily soluble in water. mPEG-GSA itself has good biocompatibility, at the same time has a carbonyl group, ester group, amino group and other functional groups, so it is mainly used in the modification of drugs and medical materials. It can modify a variety of drugs, such as protein drugs, peptide compounds, organic small molecule drugs and so on. Similarly, it is also widely used in PEG modification of biological nanomaterials.
