Glucose-polyethylene glycol-Succinimidyl Carboxymethyl Ester (Glucose-PEG-SCM) is a multifunctional polyethylene glycol with a glucose group at one end and a succinimide carboxymethyl ester at the other end. It is usually white solid. It is suitable for storage in a dry environment below -20℃ and needs inert gas (argon or nitrogen) protection for long-term storage. Glucose plays an important role in the field of biology. It is the energy source of living cells and the intermediate product of metabolism, that is, the main energy source of organisms. Succinimidyl carboxymethyl ester can linked to the free amino bond of active drugs, and the amino acetate bond produced by coupling is more stable than the ester bond. It is widely used in products that react with drug coupling.
