N3-PEG-(γ)PGA is a copolymer containing a free azide group. N3-PEG-(γ)PGA is a liquid or solid which depends on its molecular weight. The bigger the molecular weight, the more likely it is to be a solid. It is soluble in DMSO, DMF, DCM and water. N3-PEG-(γ)PGA has a wide range of applications and can be used to modify proteins, peptides, and other materials. Azide group can be reduced to amine group by copper-catalyzed reactions with alkynes in aqueous solution. Polyethylene glycol increases solubility and stability and reduces the immunogenicity of peptides and proteins, which also inhibits nonspecific binding of charged molecules on modified surfaces.
