Methoxy polyethylene glycol cyanur (mPEG-Cyanur) is a linear monofunctional PEG reagent with cyanuric chloride functional group. Under mild alkaline conditions, cyanuric chloride can be used for the PEGylation of peptides, antibodies and other amine-containing biomolecules or nanoparticles. The N-terminus of the protein can be coupled with a cyano group. According to reports in the literature, researchers have successfully applied mPEG-Cyanur to the modification of acylglycoside deaminase, interferon and other protein drugs, camptothecin, paclitaxel, cytarabine, scutellarin and other small molecule drugs. mPEG-Cyanur can also be used as additives for plastics and rubber in the medical field, preparation of surfactants, coatings and inks, pharmaceutical industry and cosmetics. It has broad prospects in multiple negative applications such as peptide synthesis, polymer synthesis, organic synthesis, targeted drug application, and sustained and controlled release of drugs.
