mPEG-AA (Acetic Acid) is a carboxylic acid-functionalized methoxy polyethylene glycol, one of the single-active PEG derivatives, which can be used to modify proteins, amino groups, other acid-reactive peptides and other materials. This is a product in which the hydroxyl end of mPEG is activated to an ethyl carboxyl group. The carboxyl group can not only undergo an esterification reaction with a hydroxyl group to form an ester bond, but also can undergo an affinity substitution reaction with an amino group to form an amide. Utilizing these reaction characteristics can effectively link PEG to required materials or small molecule drugs and polypeptides to achieve the purpose of reducing immunogenicity and improving stability and solubility. mPEG-AA is often used in the fields of drug sustained release, medical research, biopolymer synthesis, and biomedical engineering. Like other mPEG derivatives, this product should be stored in an inert gas environment at -20℃.
