Methoxy polyethylene glycol (peg) poly-L-glutamic acid (mPEG–(γ)PGA) is a kind of diblock copolymer. mPEG–(γ)PGA can serve as the carrier materials of different kinds of drugs, and improve the solubility of drugs in water, encapsulation efficiency and drug loadings, and it can be used to prepare microsphere, microcapsule, vesicles or micelles with adjustable molecular weight and water/oil wet chain segment ratio. It can be used to realize the goal of slow release and controlled release of drugs, and can also be used as a good hydrophilic tissue engineering scaffold material. It is a solid or semisolid which depends on its molecular weight. The bigger the molecular weight, the more likely it is to be a solid.
