Synonyms: Methoxy polyethylene glycol-Propionic acid
Methoxy polyethylene glycol-Propionic acid (mPEG-Propionic acid) is a modifier with one end of the methoxy group and the other end of the propionic acid derivative. Depending on its molecular weight, the form is usually found in viscous liquid or solid powder. It is soluble in most organic solvents and has good solubility in water. It needs to be dried at -20℃ away from light and stored for a long time. Propionic acid can be used to react with amine groups with peptide coupling reagents such as NHS and DCC, EDC. So it can be used to modify proteins, peptides and other materials through their functional groups.
