OPSS-PEG-OH has an OPSS and a hydroxyl group at each end of the molecular chain and is a linear heterofunctional PEG reagent. It is a useful cross-linking reagent with PEG spacer. It is a useful cross-linking reagent with PEG spacer. OPSS stands for o-pyridinyl disulfide or o-pyridinyl disulfide, which can react with thiol, SH, sulfhydryl to form a S-S bond. Through the pyridinyl disulfide functional group, OPSS-PEG-OH can selectively react with the sulfhydryl group to form a stable disulfide bond and release a thiol pyridyl group at the same time. Through this reaction, It can modify biomolecules or other materials. It can be used in cell culture, drug research, drug delivery and release, nanotechnology and new materials.
