Synonyms: Cl-PEG-Cl; Cl-polyethylene glycol-Cl
Chloride-PEG-chloride is a linear bifunctional PEG reagent with two halide groups-chloride (Cl). It is usually viscous or solid, soluble in organic solvents and water, and can be stored for a long time at -20℃. The halide groups - chloride (Cl) is a very good leaving group for neucleophilic substitution reaction. It can easily react with alcohols, ethers, amines and esters to modify various organic molecules. It provides support for ligand research, peptide synthesis support, grafting of polymer compounds, new materials and functional coatings modified by polyethylene glycol. It is widely used in medical research, drug delivery, nanotechnology and new materials research, and cell culture.
