N-hydroxysuccinimide-polyethylene glycol-N-hydroxysuccinimide (NHS-PEG-NHS) is a double PEG derivative with two N-hydroxysuccinimide groups. It is usually a viscous liquid or solid powder, depending on the molecular weight. It is soluble in most organic solvents and has good solubility in water. It needs to be dried at -20℃ away from light and stored for a long time. The N-hydroxysuccinimide (NHS) active ester of polyethylene glycol carboxylic acid can react with the amine group of lysine. The coupling reaction only needs mild reaction conditions, pH 7-9, low temperature (5-25℃). PEG can increase the solubility and stability of the drug, reducing the immunogenicity of peptides and proteins, and inhibit the non-specific binding of charged molecules on the modified surface. It can modify proteins, peptides and other small molecular materials.
