Hydroxyl-polyethylene glycol-Succinimidyl propionate (HO-PEG-Succinimidyl propionate) is a multifunctional polyethylene glycol with a hydroxyl at one end and a succinimidyl propionate group at the other end. It is usually a viscous liquid or solid powder, depending on the molecular weight. It can be stored for a long time at -20℃. It is soluble in most organic solvents and has good solubility with water. Under suitable conditions, hydroxyl (-OH) can react with NPC to form carbonate. It can be used to modify proteins, peptides and other substances by amino or other acid reactive chemical groups. Similarly, it is also widely used in PEG modification of biological nanomaterials.
