Synonyms: Eight-Arm polyethylene glycol-Acrylate; Eight-Arm PEG-Acrylate
Arm polyethylene glycol-Acrylate (8-Arm PEG-Acrylate) is a multiarm PEG derivative with acrylate groups at each terminal of the eight arms connected to one hexaglycerol core. Depending on its molecular weight, the form is usually found in viscous liquid or solid powder. It is usually stored at -20℃. The 8-arm PEG-acrylate can be used for radical initiator or UV light induced polymerization to synthesize PEG hydrogel. It can modify a variety of drugs, such as protein drugs, peptide compounds, organic small molecule drugs and so on. Similarly, it is also widely used in PEG modification of biological nanomaterials.
