Propargyl-PEG3-NH-PEG-NH2 is a heterodifunctional PEG derivative containing propargyl and an amine group. The amine group and the oligomer PEG exist between the propargyl and PEG main chains. The amine group readily reacts with activated NHS esters and carboxylic acids to form stable amide bonds under coupling conditions, or with carbonyl groups such as ketones and aldehydes through reductive amination conditions. The alkynyl groups can react with azides to form triazole bonds by click-chemical reactions. The increasing aqueous solubility derived from the PEG spacer makes it an ideal conjugation linker for biological. Propargyl-PEG3-NH-PEG-NH2 is widely used in click chemical biological conjugates, biomarkers, chemical biology and antibody drug conjugates (ADCs).
