PLGA-PEG-NH2 is composed of hydrophilic block polyethylene glycol (PEG) and hydrophobic block poly-lactide-glycol copolymer (PLGA). It is a functional amphiphilic block copolymer (ABC) with an amine group at the end of a PEG block. It is one of the most commonly used biodegradable amphiphilic block copolymers (ABCs) for drug delivery. PEG is the Hydrophilic part and PLGA is the hydrophobic part. PLGA-PEG-NH2 has an amine group at the PEG end, which can be used to prepare and control drug release of target nanoparticles (micelles) for separation. Polyethylene glycolated copolymers with biodegradable and biocompatible polyester chain segments can be used to prepare core-shell micelles, nanoparticles and microspheres.
