Arm polyethylene glycol-Norbornene (4-Arm PEG- Norbornene) is a multi arm peg derivative, which has norbornene groups at each end of the four arms connected to a core. It is usually a white solid or viscous liquid and can be stored at -20℃ for a long time. Because of its special structure and the double bond, it causes significant ring tension and obvious reaction. Norbornene is used to prepare hydrogels and other biocompatible materials by mercaptan reaction. These hydrogels are cross-linked by a light-mediated orthogonal reaction between multifunctional norbornene modified macromonomers and thiol-containing junctions. Four arm polyethylene glycol derivatives have a variety of active groups that can be used to modify proteins, peptides and other materials through their functional groups. It can modify a variety of drugs, such as protein drugs, peptide compounds, organic small molecule drugs and so on.
