8-Arm polyethylene glycol-Azide (8-Arm PEG-Azide) is a multi arm peg derivative with azide groups at each terminal of the eight arms connected to one hexaglycerol core. It is usually white solid. It is suitable for storage in a dry environment below -20℃ and needs inert gas (argon or nitrogen) protection for long-term storage. The azide group can react with copper-catalyzed alkynes in aqueous solution, and it can be easily reduced to amines. Eight arm polyethylene glycol derivatives have a variety of active groups and can be used to modify a variety of materials. It can modify a variety of drugs, such as protein drugs, peptide compounds, organic small molecule drugs and so on.
