Methoxy polyethylene glycol-Propyne (mPEG-Propyne) is a modifier with one end of the methoxy group and the other end of the propyne derivative. It is usually white or yellowish liquid, semi-solid or solid, depending on the molecular weight. It is suitable for storage in a dry environment below -20℃ and needs inert gas (argon or nitrogen) protection for long-term storage. It is easy to dissolve in water, CHCl3, DMSO. Propyne can react with azide in aqueous solution under the catalysis of cupric. At the same time, PEG can increase the solubility and stability of the drug, reduce the immunogenicity of peptides and proteins, and inhibit the non-specific binding of charged molecules on the modified surface. It can modify proteins, peptides and other small molecular materials.
