Four-Arm PEG-Glutaramide Acid (4-Arm PEG-GAA) is a multi arm peg derivative, which has carboxylic acid groups at each end of the four arms connected to a core. It is usually a solid powder or particle, which needs to be protected by inert gas and dissolved in some organic reagents. 4-Arm PEG-GAA is a kind of PEG derivative with multiple active carboxyl groups, which can be used to modify proteins, peptides and other materials. Carboxyl group can form stable amide bond with amino group and ester bond with hydroxyl group. PEGylation can increase the solubility and stability of peptides and proteins, and reduce their immunogenicity. It can also inhibit the nonspecific binding of charged molecules to the modified surface.
